Expensive !

To Purchase & Maintain & Insure

Two of five people I know have
already traded them in.

First off... they are not that expensive. I got my 07 Civic for a little more than 22,000 FULLY loaded... nav system and all.

My insurance went down after buying this car and maintenance is no more than any other car. Yes, the oil change is more expensive, but not by much... and you only have to change it every 5,000 miles instead of every 3,000... so in the end it evens out.

You can barely hear the car when you start it and when it's idle. I get around 55 mpg right now and I drive about 97 miles a day... so I am loving it.

Sure... it's not a bad A$$ 07 Eclipse like I traded in for the Hybrid, but I get much more out of it.

I know about 10 people who traded in their current car/trucks and picked up a Civic Hybrid!

I was even able to turn the nav screen into a screen to watch DVD's on :)

That's right Bob... so if you see a Hybrid driving all over the road... it means I'm watching Porn :)

No offense Bob but that was an excellent comeback for Akido.

I was thinking the same thing you were!

Well in all honesty... I don't drive and watch videos... but when I'm waiting for my wife to get off work (we carpool and I get off an hour earlier) I like to watch a movie... or part of one anyway :)

FoxE, regretfully, that is the way that too many drivers drive now!
Who really cares if it will pass more than 20 gas stations.

BTW, BOB54, LOVE your Doberman picture! They are great and beautiful animals.

We started using a little pill in our GMC Yukon XL. We drop it into our tank with each fill up and we now get better gas mileage. We went from 300 miles per tank full to 425 miles consistently.

I have also read reports that this product reduces harmful emissions by up to 80% because all the fuel in your engine is being burned, not blown out the exhaust and into the atmosphere. The cost of the pill is about $2.00 and you can research and buy them at www.mpgpros.com Hope this info helps other save and clean up our enviroment too. Jim

With my eyes shut, I could still hear the cars blowing their horns as they pass by.

Yes! The funk from the owner who conserves water by not showering would be overpowering! Just kidding, hybrids are a step in the right direction, but the Civic is too small for me with my kids and all of their gear. Hybrids should be the standard rather than the exception, but hey, small steps, small steps...

expensive or not, its inconsiderate to buy anything other than a hybrid or electric car. now that we know so much about global warming. whats alittle more money to save your damn planet?

I live in the city and I’ve never taken the opportunity to test drive a hybrid. But I do feel that with the fuel economy and lower emissions, the electric hybrid vehicle is a good idea for city driving. If you’re principally highway driving I see little appeal. Is it really worth it?

This is a Saltwater Engine.

Sound-waves make saltwater into fuel. put this with a steam Engine and a battery charging unit. you have a safe car and better for the world.
