KENNEDY RECALLED BY PITTSBURGH
 

 
WILKES-BARRE, PA –  The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Tyler Kennedy from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, it was announced today by Executive Vice President/General Manager Ray Shero.
 

 
Kennedy was re-assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on November 13th after playing his first six games in the NHL.  He was first called-up to the Penguins on October 27th.  Kennedy scored his first NHL goal on November 3rd in a game vs. the New York Islanders.  It was just his third NHL game and the goal came on his first NHL shot.
 

 
Kennedy has played seven games this season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and ranks tied for third in scoring with seven points (three goals, four assists).  He recorded two assists for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton during their 4-1 victory vs. the Philadelphia Phantoms on Wednesday.  Kennedy tallied the game-winning goal in each of the first two victories for the club this season.  During the 2006-07 season, he scored 37 points (12 goals, 25 assists) in 40 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
 

 
Kennedy was originally selected by the Penguins in the fourth round (99th overall) in the 2004 Entry Draft.  He competed in two preseason games for the Penguins scoring one goal and registering a plus-two rating.
